HOW A PERSON CAN FOLLOW SIRAT-AL-MUSTAQEEM
Every person needs to know about different aspects of its course to reach its destination without any difficulty. We all take precautionary measures to be on the safer side while going out for a long journey, so that we don’t have to suffer from any problem and mishaps. Same as like, the Religion of Islam also regards that human life is a passage way towards everlasting life of the hereafter, and Islam advises its followers to remain on the rightful path and avoid from all the distractions of this world which can lead a person to failure.
Being a true Muslim believer, one has to take help from ALLAH and His Sacred Book that is Quran for moving on the way of sirat-al-mustaqeem.
Following are some ways through which a person can get the right way of
sirat-al-mustaqeem;
Fearing from ALLAH Almighty:
The most significant concept in Islam that is also very necessary for every Muslim is the faith in the Oneness of ALLAH, and believing in ALLAH as the Most Powerful and the only God.
“O you, who have believed, fear ALLAH. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow – and fear ALLAH. Indeed, ALLAH is Acquainted with what you do.” [Quran, 59: 18]
The concept of worldly life in the Religion Islam is nothing but a place to test a person’s faith through its performance and acts. A true Muslim knows that all deeds and acts that are done in this world will be assessed on the Day of Qayamah. So, the fear of the ALLAH Almighty is the most necessary belief of every Muslim that will help in attaining the correct style of livelihood according to the lessons of Islam.
Reciting the Holy Quran:
The Holy Book Quran is the definitive source of wisdom and enlightenment for all the Muslims. So, to be on Sirat-al-Mustaqim, Muslim should recite, learn and understand the Holy Quran, because it addresses many aspects of life spiritual as well as other matters regarding life. Quran has got many Holy verses (ayah) that emphasize on the followers and believers of Islam to follow the righteous path and not to and avoid its commands.
Properly follow all the pillars of Islam:
For moving on the right path it is very important to follow all the five pillars that are mentioned in Islam, pillars teaches a person discipline and righteous way of spending life.
Praying to ALLAH:
Having concrete belief in Command of ALLAH over everything, a true Muslim always seeks help from ALLAH for removing all kinds of problems and hurdles. Muslim also pleads to only ALLAH
Translation of verse 6 of Surah Fatiha;
Guide us to the straight path
A true Muslim strongly believes in Supreme Command of ALLAH over everything
So, a person should always seek help from ALLAH to adopt and stay on
Sirat al-Mustaqim.
