Common mistakes during Umrah

For many people Umrah is a lifetime journey and for others it is just another opportunity to spend time in the Holy places of Makkah and Madinah. Many people who are ignorant of the sacredness of these places they take this trip as a holiday and instead of concentrating their worship they are busy in socialization. Therefore, it is necessary to remind yourself about the sanctity of this journey and to show your sincerity instead of socializing.

It is becoming a trend to take selfies and to post them on social networking sites. Likewise, taking a selfie during Umrah is not an odd thing anymore. Many people take their selfies while doing tawaf, stoning of shaytan, making dua and other such rituals. What happens is that a person loses interest in Ibadah and instead becomes aware of the worldly life. One should always remember that this journey is prestigious and it requires us to cut off our worldly ties just for the sake of Allah Almighty.

If a person is too busy posting his/her status on Facebook or checking in on WhatsApp then how can that person expect to seek blessings of Allah Almighty? One can understand this with a very simple example that there is a King who has invited his chosen servants to an event and some of his servants are so busy with their worldly life that despite being physically present on that even their minds are stuck in their own worlds. In a similar manner, Allah Almighty has invited chosen servants to visit His Holy House and instead of paying attention to the pilgrimage these people are busy posting their photos and statuses on social media? Is not it disrespectful for the One who has invited us?

Moreover, other common mistakes include overcrowding and showing impatience. These two things create big problems resulting in devastating consequences. For instance, if people are not following instructions while stoning or performing tawaf and are stampeding, they do not realize that they are causing problems for others. Furthermore, one of the major issues is that of women while kissing the Black Stone (Hajr-e-Aswad). Many women just rush through the crowd without knowing that their shoulders are touching those of males, such actions are actually forbidden during this journey.

Therefore, these mistakes must be avoided in order to get the intimacy with Allah Almighty and to seek forgiveness from Allah. A person should always remember that this journey is sacred and requires us to be humble and sincere in our doings and to concentrate our worships instead of roaming around in our worldly life. Perhaps this precious time will never come again in our life. But, embarking on this Holy journey is not a problem anymore with Cheap Umrah Packages.
